Lai Kuan Lin is a Taiwanese singer, dancer, director, and former member of WANNA ONE (워너원) and WOOSEOK X KUAN LIN (우석X관린). He graduated from Linkou Middle School, and before debuting, he was scouted by Cube Entertainment at an audition in Taiwan in 2016. In mid-2017, he participated in the survival competition "Produce 101 Season 2" and managed to end up in 7th place, earning a spot in the resulting project group. He made his debut in August 2017 as WANNA ONE's lead rapper and maknae with their first mini-album, "1X1=1 (To Be One)". The contract with Swing Entertainment (스윙엔터테인먼트) was made for one year and six months, so the group officially disbanded in January 2019 following their final concert performance. After returning to CUBE Entertainment, he made his debut in March 2019 as part of the unit group WOOSEOK X KUAN LIN alongside PENTAGON's Jung Woo Seok. They released their first mini-album, "9801". He made his debut as an actor in October 2019 with a role in the Chinese drama "A Little Thing Called First Love". However, in July 2019, he requested the termination of his contract with CUBE. He claimed that the agency had sold his artist management rights in China to a third party without notifying him. After the legal dispute, he moved his career to mainland China. In June 2021, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in his favor and ended his contract with Cube Entertainment. In 2021, he debuted as a film director for the short film "Em Chu Em Nie Zi Bo (Winter & Spring Are Fighting)", which won several prizes at different film festivals. In June 2024, he was photographed with a woman, sparking rumors of a possible relationship. Two days later, he announced his decision to switch career paths and he retired from the entertainment industry, with speculation that he would focus on being a film director.
