Lee Li Chun is a Taiwanese stage, crosstalk, and film actor born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, with ancestral roots in Mengzhou, Henan, China. He is one of the founders of Performance Workshop (表演工作坊). Born and raised in a military dependents' village in Taiwan, Lee's father was a retired soldier who came to Taiwan in 1949 with the Republic of China Armed Forces. Lee attended Xingya Elementary School (興雅國小) and later graduated from the Nautical Department of the China Maritime Commercial Technical School (中國海事商業專科學校). While still a student, he developed an interest in drama through the China Youth Theatre (中國青年劇團), which he joined. After graduation, he interned on a ship for eight months and worked various jobs before focusing on acting.
