Kang Chan Hee, known professionally as Chani, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, model and member of SF9 (에스에프나인). He graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School. He debuted as a child actor in 2009 with a role on MBC's "The Great Queen Seondeok" and was also a model. Later, he spent 7 years as a trainee, including time at Fantagio. He then made his official acting debut in 2013 with a role in MBC's "Queen of the Classroom". After switching companies and joining FNC Entertainment (FNC엔터테인먼트), he performed (alongside the other trainees) in Japan in December 2015. Then, he was introduced as a member of NEOZ DANCE through the survival show "d.o.b. (dance or band)". They competed against the trainees in team NEOZ BAND (later rebranded as HONEYST) for the chance to debut as a group, eventually defeating them after the public voting. However, FNC announced that NEOZ DANCE will rebrand before their debut. He made his debut in October 2016 as SF9's main dancer, sub-rapper, face of the group and maknae with their first single album, "Feeling Sensation". In 2017, the group found their breakthrough when their first EP, "Burning Sensation", reached #6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart. They also debuted in Japan with a Japanese version of their debut lead single, "Fanfare", and had successful concerts in Japan and the United States. They have enjoyed continued success since then, releasing music and having events around the world. In 2021, he renewed his contract with FNC, and while the older members are in the military, he continues to promote with other members and take on more acting roles.
