Kim Yoo Jin, known professionally as Eugene, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress and former member of S.E.S (에스이에스). She was born in Seoul but her family moved to Guam when she was 4 years old. When she was in high school, they decided to return to South Korea and she graduated from Korea Kent Foreign School. She made her debut in November 1997 as S.E.S's lead vocalist, lead rapper, visual and face of the group with their first album, "I'm Your Girl", which became the third best-selling album by a female group in South Korea. They were the first girl group launched by Lee Soo Man and SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) and with their innocent image and their discography consisting of love songs all members achieved commercial success almost immediately. However, in 2002, SM tried to renew her contract, but all negotiations failed, and she decided to leave the agency, effectively disbanding S.E.S. The trio released the compilation album "Beautiful Songs" in mid-2003 as their last one. They have briefly reunited a few times, most notably in 2016 to celebrate their 20th anniversary. She moved on to PFull Entertainment and made her debut as a solo artist in 2003 with the album "My True Style". After releasing a second album, she opted to become a full-time actress, as she had debuted the year before in the KBS2 drama "Loving You" and her acting was well received by the critics and the audience. She has also been an MC and a musical actress. She is currently represented by Inn Company (인컴퍼니). (Source: MyDramaList) Edit Biography
