Bai Lu is a Chinese actress, singer and model born in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. She studied foreign languages at the Changzhou Campus Tourism and Business branch of Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce. In 2012, she auditioned in Shanghai for SM Entertainment's overseas trainee program but was not selected and subsequently began working as a model. In 2015, she appeared in several microfilms produced by Cattree (貓的樹) before signing with Huanyu Film (歡娛影視) in 2016, formally starting her acting career. She gained a Level 3 National Actress accreditation in 2024. She made her acting debut in the series "King Is Not Easy" (大王不容易) in 2017. For her performance, she received her first award, Potential TV Actress of the Year, at the 2017 Tencent Video Starlight Awards.
