Kim Ah Young, known professionally as Yura, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress and member of GIRL'S DAY (걸스데이). She graduated from Ulsan Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment from Dongduk Women's University. She made her debut in October 2010 when she joined as the group's new main rapper, lead dancer, vocalist and visual with their digital single, "Girl's Day Party #2". After a rough start that saw two members leave the group not even 2 months after debuting, Dream T Entertainment (드림티 엔터테인먼트) decided to add her to the lineup. The group then became one of the most popular and commercially successful of the 2010s. In January 2019, her contract with the agency expired, and she decided not to renew it. The group has not officially disbanded but has not released any new material since mid-2017. She is now focused on her acting career and is currently represented by Awesome ENT (어썸이엔티).
