Bae Su Ji, also known as Bae Suzy, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, model, host and former member of MISS A (미쓰에이). She graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School. Before debuting, she was an online shopping model and was spotted by a scout after auditioning for "Superstar K1". JYP Entertainment (JYP엔터테인먼트) wanted to launch a Chinese version of WONDER GIRLS, and she was placed in the new group. They signed with Samsung Electronics in China and released a song used for a commercial called "Love Again". After facing some lineup changes, the members were sent to South Korea to debut. She made her debut in July 2010 as the group's lead vocalist, sub-rapper, face of the group, visual and maknae with their first EP, "Bad But Good". The lead single "Bad Girl Good Girl" became the first ever song by a debuting group to reach #1 on the Gaon Digital Chart also becoming the best-performing single. She then made her acting debut with the lead role in the 2011 KBS drama, "Dream High", which got her the Best New Actress at the 2012 Baeksang Arts Award. Their subsequent releases were also praised by music critics and the public, and the group enjoyed an increase in popularity. However, in March 2015, they went on an indefinite hiatus following the promotional period for their EP, "Colors", and the group never released any new material again. She made her debut as a solo artist in January 2017 with the mini-album "Yes? No?" and she became the last remaining member of MISS A under contract at JYP. As a result, the agency decided to disband the group in December 2017. She left JYP in March 2019 and, a few weeks later, signed with Management Soop (매니지먼트 숲), who now represents her.
