Kim Seok Woo, known professionally as Rowoon, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, and former member of SF9 (에스에프나인). He graduated from Gyeonggi High School and is currently enrolled at Kyung Hee Cyber University. Before debuting, he spent 6 years as a trainee and was introduced in FNC Entertainment (FNC엔터테인먼트) reality show "Cheongdam-dong 111" in 2013. Then, in December 2015, all the trainees performed in Japan to test their abilities. He was introduced as a member of NEOZ DANCE through the survival show "d.o.b. (dance or band)". They competed against the trainees in team NEOZ BAND (later known as HONEYST) for the chance to debut as a group, eventually defeating them after the public voting. However, FNC announced that NEOZ DANCE will rebrand before their debut. He made his debut in October 2016 as SF9's lead vocalist, visual and center with their first single album, "Feeling Sensation". He made his official acting debut in 2017 with a role in the KBS2 drama "School 2017". In 2017, the group found their breakthrough when their first EP, "Burning Sensation", reached #6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart. They also debuted in Japan with a Japanese version of their debut lead single, "Fanfare", and had successful concerts in Japan and in the United States. In 2021, he renewed his contract with FNC, but a year later, he did not participate in the group's promotion for their 11th EP, "The Wave OF9", due to scheduling conflicts with the drama he was filming at the time. In September 2023, he announced his departure from the group to focus on his acting career. He was originally scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on July 21, 2025, but he received a Grade 7 notice during his pre-enlistment physical assessment, requiring a re-examination and delaying his enlistment. After undergoing a reassessment, his agency confirmed that Ro Woon will officially begin his service on October 27, 2025. (Source: MyDramaList) Edit Biography
