Kim Jae Kyung is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, and former member of RAINBOW (레인보우). She graduated from Deungchon High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from Dongduk Women's University. Before debuting, she spent 4 years as a trainee, including time at JYP Entertainment. She is the older sister of N.FLYING's Kim Jae Hyun. In early 2007, she was a trainee under DSP Media (DSP미디어) and could have debuted as a member of KARA, but she declined the offer. She then turned down an offer to join SM Entertainment a few months later. She made her debut in November 2009 as RAINBOW's leader, main dancer, lead vocalist, visual and face of the group with their first EP, "Gossip Girl". The group began enjoying more popularity in Japan, so the agency decided to promote it there. They debuted in the Japanese market in September 2011 with the Japanese version of their single, "A". By 2010, she began appearing in many variety shows as a regular member. In January 2014, she debuted as part of the sub-unit RAINBOW BLAXX with their special album, "RB Blaxx". In November 2016, DSP Media announced the group would disband after all the contracts expired. She then began her acting career, winning the Best Supporting Actress Award in a Monday-Tuesday drama at the 2018 MBC Drama Awards. RAINBOW briefly reunited in November 2019 and released the single "Over the Rainbow" to commemorate the group's tenth anniversary. She is now represented by Namoo Actors (나무엑터스).
