Eun Ji Won
Eun Ji Won is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor, entertainer and former member of SECHS KIES (젝스키스) and CLOVER (클로버). He graduated from Korea Kent Foreign School. He was scouted by DSP Media (DSP미디어; formerly known as Daesung Planning) when he was studying abroad in Hawai'i. He came back to South Korea and became a trainee. The agency originally wanted him and Kang Sung Hoon to debut as a duo, but with the huge success of H.O.T, the plan was changed in order to form an idol group. He made his debut in April 1997 as SECHS KIES's leader, main rapper and lead vocalist with their first album, "School Anthem". They quickly gained a substantial fanbase and are credited with pioneering the idol scene and fandom culture. He made his acting debut one year later in the film "Seventeen", alongside all the other members. However, the group officially announced their disbandment in May 2000 and released one final digital single, "Thanks". He then went on to promote as a solo artist, debuting in October of that year with the mini-album, "G". He also became an entertainer, appearing in multiple variety shows and became part of The Movement Crew (무브먼트), a hip-hop group formed by Tiger JK. He founded his own company, GYM Entertainment (GYM엔터테인먼트) in 2009. In March 2011, he joined the trio CLOVER and debuted with their first EP, "Classic Over". However, after a few more singles, GYM Entertainment announced they were on indefinite hiatus since early 2014 and have not released any new material since then. In April 2016, SECHS KIES reunited during several episodes of "Infinite Challenge" and later signed (except Ko Ji Yong) a contract with YG Entertainment (YG엔터테인먼트). They began releasing new material again and celebrated their 20th anniversary with several concerts and a new album in April 2017.
